Procurement management is a complex system and process that requires effective planning and financial management skills. To better and more effectively meet the varying needs of clients, along with the new procurement framework approved by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors, an electronic end-to-end procurement processing and tracking platform, Systematic Tracking of Exchanges in Procurement (STEP) was formulated. This tracking platform is designed to assist procurement managers to incorporate planning; implementation; activity tracking; contract management; reporting; and project performance analysis.
The aforementioned highlights the need for effective capacity development for procurement personnel to navigate the STEP platform effortlessly. Adopting an interactive, totally hands on, and participant-focused method of teaching, this course will be delivered by procurement experts whose knowledge and skills have been honed over many years and who are conversant using STEP and other similar procurement platforms.
